Many of our riders mentioned that they'd never eaten at this restaurant, so weather permitting, we'll head down that way. YES, by all means if you live down that way, you don't have to ride all the way up to Fort Worth unless you choose to, BUT it would be silly to make more than a couple of stops to pick up riders. If you check out the route and we're riding right past you, then by all means feel free to join up.

A map will be added closer to the ride date.

This is Audrey of Moto Liberty - Dallas. I am inviting all the motorcycle rider Meetup groups within 50 miles of Moto Liberty over to our store in Dallas on October 25th. It would be for Meetup groups only. I will not invite any of our regular customers. This is a Sunday afternoon. I will serve my famous homemade Italian Roast Beef sandwiches for everybody. I also thought it would be nice if I had a banner made for each group with your name on it. The banner will be an introduction to your group. Other riders that attend can mingle with other Meetup groups. I think from 11:30 to 1:30 in the afternoon would be good. Our store is normally closed, but of course I'll open the doors. However, this would be considered more a social event and just an introduction to our store for those that haven't been here.

Thank you for your time.

Hey, since this is October, I'm kicking around the idea of visiting some ghost towns. THIS IS WHAT WE FOUND:

Nationwide, there are several hundred thousand people whose roots go back to Thurber. Thurber preservation projects to date include RESTORATION of the century old Thurber Cemetery with over 1000 graves; MOVING back to Thurber and restoring historic St. Barbara's Church; RESTORING and furnishing a typical coal miners house; BUILDING two bocci ball courts where a State Championship Tournament is held each year; RESTORING a train car which carried miners to work; ERECTING eight State Historical Markers within a one mile radius of Thurber; DISPLAYING on New York Hill a large bronze plaque overview of Thurber's significant buildings and sites; PRODUCING the VHS tape A Boom Town To Ghost Town which has been shown several times on national TV

Hello everyone,
It is time once again for our annual Motorcycle Run For The Troops. The ride is scheduled for September 26th. We will have start locations in Fort Worth and Wichita Falls. More information on start times and exact locations can be found on the website at http://www.motorcycle-run-for-the-troops.org/
Our ride this year is taking us to Loose Wheels, Tx. Information on them is available via their website at http://www.loosewheelstexas.com/
ROAD GUARDS: We need volunteers to help as road guards.

Don Hancock & Bonnie Tholen are going to drive the Fort Worth route this Saturday to see just how many street crossings, red lights, stop signs, turns, etc there are. Then they will be able to determine how many road guards we need. Several committee members have some connections with policemen and/or fire fighters that ride and we are hoping they will help as road guards as well. Don has already contacted law enforcement personnel in the cities we pass thru and they will help within their own city as they can. Don has also picked a good route that does not have very many street crossings or big intersections.

That being said, the September 12 pre-ride will be mandatory for road guards & lead and chase vehicles. We will start the morning with a meeting to discuss the plan and then actually drive the route. We would rather the Sept 12 pre-ride be done in vehicles, not motorcycles, if possible. Please contact Don at 214-464-6189 or DH0874@att.com, if you can help as a road guard.

Just FYI...

PRE-RIDES: Pre-rides will start at the American Ironhorse location. We will meet around 8:00 am and leave at 8:30 am.

August 29 – First group pre-ride.

September 12 – Mandatory for road guards & lead and chase vehicles—please drive vehicle, not motorcycle, if possible

September 19 – Last pre-ride to check route for any new road problems

September 26 – The big ride

We still need riders to register and need sponsors. I have attached the flyer, sponsorship letter, and sponsorship form. Please circulate these as much as possible.

We hope to see you all there.

Ride smart and keep the rubber side down,
