Sorry you didn't catch up with us. Peggy was about 30 minutes behind us, but got to the Blessing Hotel about 15 minutes after us. She did say the two of you left early. Not sure what scenic route you took. We were there from 10:30 - 12noon. I kept checking my phone for messages, and didn't get one from you. Sorry, but hope yall had a good lunch, the food was great. See you on the next ride.

I haven't had a response, what happened? Edmundo and I went ahead...his scoot maxs out at 60-65 so getting a head start seemed like a good idea. I took the scenic route and we got there at 12:15pm. We waited until after 1pm but never saw y'all. On the way home the valve in his rear tire came out and we had to stop for him to call a friend to come get the bike. All in all, it was a good day. Sorry we missed you.

Monica, I'm sorry you won't make the ride Sunday. The original five that started Taboo would have been on this ride ~

Looking forward to a FUN day. Hopefully, the weather will be slightly cooler than it's been. Rode with the Waller group last Friday and didn't think i'd make it home without passing out. When the helmet finally came off, not a hair on my head was dry. Whew! It was sooooooo hot!

Becky (on the yellow sportster) earned the name, "Nabber", from when we rode to Bacliffe. When we stopped at the San Jacinto monument, Becky nabbed a guy on a bike & got him to take our group's picture. Jana called her the nabber & it stuck.

Ok I guess I am considered a "newbie" because I have no idea what a nabber is. Can I get enlightenment?

Oh yes we can pick a petty good "victim" for the nabber !!!!

Food was awesome!! :) Girls, this was a great ride... a little hot, but very good. Thanks Mom and Becky for putting it together!
    •  We finally made it to Blessing!!!! Great ride!! Was lost most of the time but really enjoyed the ride and the food. On the way home check the temp on the bike and it was 100 degrees. Yep, kind of a warm day. Looking foward to next weekend!!

I don't know about the rest of you, BUT- I had fun today! The ride to Waller this morning was really nice and cool. It didn't get warm (ok - hot) until we were almost home. That's what sunscreen and water is for though. We have been trying to make this ride for awhile now, and something always came up. Glad to see everyone. Hope all of you can make it next weekend!

I was in the first ten of the group and my hat is off to our leader! I was so impressed. He really had me sold when we hit the train crossing and he had us go around the block rather than wait for the train to pass. In light of the heat that was a great call!

Lets do it later in the Fall and make sure all the roads are paved when we go this time! My white shirt was brown before I got home... But it was fun!
    •  what a great ride. loved the scenic back roads. the Blessing Hotel was so charming and loved the delicious home cookin'. it was a "warm" day to say the least, but fun nonetheless.
    •  I had a blast. It was great that we left early to beat the heat. Becky's husband did a great job leading the first group. It was enjoyable to ride next to Tiffany. Her experience makes it easy. The ride back was a bit hot, but avoiding stops made it bearable. The twisties were fun. The breaks we toke were perfectly timed (not too soon, not too far apart). It good to be in a group that doesn't take "forever" to get back on the road after a break. Thanks for putting together such an enjoyable day!!

It was a good ride! Weather was great going, but did get a little hot coming back.....what do you expect, it is July. Becky, be sure & THANK DARYL - he did a great job! It was nice to meet some of the new members & good to see all the others. All & all, I had a fun day and hope everyone else enjoyed the day too ~
    •  I had a blast. It was fantastic. I had a lot of adrenaline and butterflies since it was my first group ride so everything about the experience was awesome for me. That's probably why I wasn't even noticing the heat. I was having way too much fun! We passed some beautiful country scenes early in the morning. The sky was amazing. There was a point through all the corn fields and bucolic farmhouses with their cows attached that I thought we had wound up in Nebraska. I wanted to travel to new places and enjoyed the chosen route tremendously. The leader's riding experience was evident immediately and that calmed me right away. I attribute my success to his ability to guide the group effectively.
