*Update* Ride is on. They changed the forecast to scattered showers in the afternoon. I am going to chance it. Please bring rain gear. If it starts to look threatening, we may change the route to head home the way we came rather than taking the route I mapped out.

We will leave at 9:00 AM SHARP. Come with a full tank of gas.

This ride will go through the Pine Barrens. Total trip is approximately 185 miles. We will make one gas stop and stop for lunch in Smithville.

The Smithville we are going to is http://www.smithville... .

For those that live further south from the meeting place, we will make one stop to pick people up. We will stop at Wawa located at 200 Pinehurst Road, New Egypt. NJ. It is just south of CR-528 (Lakewood Road). http://maps.google.co...
According to Google Maps, we will be there at approximately 10:00 AM. If we are not there, we should be there in a few minutes. We will wait at that location until 10:15 AM and then we will leave.

For those with a GPS, I have put the route in the files section of the group. You will need to save it in order to view it.

For those without GPS, download the file to your computer and go to GPS Visualizer and upload the file. You will be able to see the route. We will be taking Rt. 1 to Rt 130 to Old York Rd?..

So happy the weather held out... As I write this, the thunderstorm (hale that hurts) is overhead! It was a great cruising ride today. Glad we took your planned route back and I headed home via Rt. 70. Debbie, thanks for your time and energy organizing and leading the ride.

IIRC, That Wawa is at the corner of 528 & 539 (Lakewood & Pinehurst Rds.) Can be a busy intersection. You might want to take a left onto 528 to get into the Wawa safer. That light may have a left turn arrow.

Hopefully it is a good route. I "borrowed" most of it from another person.

Who attended?

    •  Excellent ride & route Debbie. Glad we stuck to the original route. Well done. My only critique would be the group should try to space apart more (2 or 3 seconds from the bike directly ahead is good). Glad to finally meet some of the other riders. See ya next time.
    •  it was a great ride and the weather luckily cooperated..Smithville is a quaint little town with great shops and restaurants..Pine Barrens make for an awesome ride with little turns and stops..Nice Job Deb!
    •  The predicted rain never materialized so the day was a good one. All the riders where a pleasure to ride with and share a meal with.
    •  I Keep on repeating myself Great ride/roads , Great Folks and Great food .
    •  Very nice ride had a grate time.
    •  Great ride! Fantastic route Deb! Comfortable pace, barely any traffic, great company, good food and conversation - it just doesn't get any better. It's always a pleasure and honor to ride with this group.
    •  This was one of the best rides I've been on. Beautiful scenery, great pace and long cruising roads with some great people to enjoy this ride with. I'm glad the rain didn't come.
    •  As usual a great group of people. And the weather held out. What more could you ask for? The only disappointment is that Roger didn't do his strip tease.
    •  Great ride, I had lots of fun - especially since it DID NOT RAIN AT ALL. It remains a great bunch of people to ride with.
    •  Great job in organizing the ride through the Pine Barrens today. It was nice to meet new people. It worked out to be a real nice day with no rain.
