I know I am new this group and have not met any of you to date, but I want to share with you all an opportunity to meet and do something special for the children of Boles Home, located in Quinlan. (This is NOT why I joined the group btw)

For 15 years a very good friend of mine, along with her husband and other friends, have been raising funds to provide the children of Boles Home with a good Christmas. This will be the 16th year. This lady goes WAY beyond what most do in order to meet this goal. She gets a wish list from each child in the home and does her absolute best to see that every item on the list is received by the child.

This year's only planned fund run will be on Sunday 10-18-2009. The cost is $15 per person, $20 per couple, and there will be a $5 plate dinner after the run. This will not be a long ride, but an enjoyable one. After the run, there will be a $5 plate dinner, an auction, and live music. I would be pleased to email you a flyer with all the details.

On the first Sunday of December, there will be a toy run to deliver the gifts. This event, as well as the fund run, are hosted by the Boot & Saddle Club in Nevada, TX.
