Founders Note

Dear Riders,

In the summer of 2007, my friend called to cancel on a riding trip, and all my usual riding buddies were out of town. I already had the upcoming Saturday free and my bike was ready to rip! So out of pure desperation to find a rider I posted an ad on Craigslist for "Advanced Rider Needed". That's how I met Rick Golenor, who turned out to an awesome rider! Through our conversations on the trail that day, Rick proved to be a super nice person, and when he mentioned some of his "friends from church" I realized we were both Christians.

Evangelism doesn't come naturally to me. However, meeting Rick that day inspired me to start "Dust 2 Dust," (which we later re-named to "Full Throttle Fellowship"). Starting a Christian dirt biking club seemed like it could meet two basic needs. First, it could provide Christian dirt bikers a way meet others like themselves for riding and fellowship. Second, I hoped it could provide a way for Christian dirt bikers to provide friendship to all who love to ride (regardless of the faith).

Since starting Full Throttle Fellowship, I've been humbled by the enthusiasm of our members. Clearly, God's will was much greater than my vision, and my experience shows that He can use anyone to further His master plan! In a year we attracted 100 individual and family accounts and we organized over 100 rides and events!

Of course, none of this would be possible without God's blessing, along with lots of help from our leadership team and many other helpful members. Thanks so much to everyone involved! Also, thanks to our local sponsors for your financial support which helps us buy stickers, business cards, banners, and more!

If you're brand new to Full Throttle Fellowship (or are just thinking about joining), please be patient and reasonable in your expectations. Neither I, the leadership team, or any one of our members is perfect. In order to maintain the integrity of the group, sometimes I will probably seem overly protective of the website structure and content, or I might seem too opinionated about how our events are organized. But I assure you this stems from my concern that Full Throttle Fellowship continues to be something we can all be proud of. To that end, I promise to try to keep an open mind so that God's will can flourish here!

Riding Experience: First bike at age 3 ('78 JR50 Suzuki). Riding ever since. Mostly woods and desert.
Life Dreams: Ride the Baja 1000; race the Pikes Peak Int. Hill Climb; and somehow acquire a fleet of minibikes so that underprivileged kids can go dirt biking!
